About Cletus
Cletus and Frankie were saved by a wonderful volunteer after they were dumped at the Tamworth Pound. Our friends at Greencross Vets Tamworth boarded the dogs free of charge, and then one of the lovely vets drove them all the way to Brisbane! They are now safe and sound in a foster home here in Brisbane.
Cletus is the older of the pair, he is Frankies dad. At some stage during his life Cletus has lots his eye, but we do not have any information about how this occurred. He is only a little fella weighing less than 3kg and very sweet and friendly. Due to the tough ordeal he has been through, he can be slightly shy at first, but once he knows you he loves you!
Cletus has been living with other dogs and gets along great in the dog pack. Due to his small size, we would not recommend he is adopted by a family with children.
We originally planned to keep Cletus and Frankie together, however since being in care we have been surprised to discover they don't seem to be very bonded. Whilst they sleep together in a crate, they sleep in opposite ends and need to be fed separately or else they get grumpy at each other. The boys seem to get along great with other dogs, so we are now happy for them to be adopted separately.
We would love for Cletus to go to a home where he will be spoilt rotten and treated well in his senior years, he has definitely not had an easy life so far.

Medical notes
When Cletus came to us he required a great deal of veterinary care. He is very underweight and we are working hard to help him gain weight. He also needed dental surgery and has had quite a few teeth removed and his teeth scaled and polished.
We have desexed Cletus and run blood tests to make sure his liver and kidneys were healthy. He has been vaccinated and microchipped. We have tested Cletus for heartworm and he tested negative.
He is currently eating a mixture of high quality dog food and fresh meat. He has been wormed and treated with heartworm and flea prevention.
