About Daisy
Daisy is a much loved part of the Chihuahua Rescue Qld family, she has been with us for several months now and we love her dearly. Daisy loves everyone she meets, she is the happiest, funniest little dog you could imagine! Daisy is great with kids, but because of her delicate little frame is best suited to a home with very gentle children.
She is only tiny, less then 3kg with mid-length black and silver fur. She has been living in a foster home with other little dogs and cats. She very much enjoys chasing the cats as a bit of a fun game, however she is great friends with the cats and they love chasing her back!
Although she is 8 years of age, you'd think she was much younger. She dances around with happiness, licking any face that will let her close. She loves to play and loves to snuggle.

Medical notes
Daisy came to us very sick with osteomyelitis that had eaten away her jaw. She is quite literally missing half her bottom jaw due to infection and has had to have several surgeries to save the rest of the mouth. Her tongue hangs out and she only has two teeth, but Daisy doesn't let that deter her and she just loves her food!
Daisy was very sick in her first few weeks with us and we were so worried we were going to lose her. She was fed via feeding tube inserted in her neck and spent nearly 2 weeks in hospital on pain relief and antibiotics and fluid therapy.
Our wonderful vets nursed her back to health, and she has been in foster care for the last two months helping her recover and be well enough for adoption.
She has been vaccinated, microchipped, desexed and had several thousand dollars of medical care to help repair her mouth. She is treated with parasite prevention and has been tested for heartworm (result: negative). She is on heartworm prevention.
We provide free post-adoption health checks with our vets at Greencross Indooroopilly.
Despite her extensive and difficult medical history, Daisy is now a healthy, happy little dog who deserves a wonderful home.
