About Max - The Extra Special Boy
My name is Max. I am 4.5 months of age and my breed is listed as boxer x And I am deaf, not that I know it. As I still run and play and look for guidance from my family and paw friends.
People think I'm disabled, but I am really smart, as you only have to teach me handle signals, like stop, sit, drop like you do any dog, without saying any words.
I love nothing more than being in the company of my fur friends and humans. Chasing a ball is so much fun! \ Due to my size, I need plenty of space to play, along with lovely long walks. \ My foster mum says I am very well behaved on the lead - I don’t pull and am happy to stay beside her.
Although I love all other dogs, I can be a little rough when playing so am probably more suited to a family with another medium to large size dog. Cats don’t bother me
A word from my foster mum -
Max is a large breed and needs regular walking and play time.
Max is a lovely natured paw, who is very gentle and does his best to please. Not suited to small children or small dogs due to his size and strength. My 2 kids (aged 12 and 15) absolutely adore him and quite often I come inside to find a tangle of dogs and humans asleep in front of the fire.
Max is toilet trained and is learning basic commands. He will sit and wait for his food to be served and is starting to sit on request. He has access to the house during the day and sleeps outside at night.
We would love to find Max his forever home. He is an extremely special boy who requires an extra special forever home.
Max is currently in care in Beveridge.
