About Jasper the Cavoodle (On Trial 17/8/14)
Hi, my name is Jasper. I’m a 2 and a half year old Cavalier x Poodle ("Cavoodle") boy who loves to snuggle. I’m looking for a family that will love me forever. \ I am very gentle and love children (but don’t like cats very much). I like my canine foster brother very much and I am learning how to wrestle and play tag. I have an older blind foster sister, and I am very gentle around her. \ My favourite thing in the world is snuggling with my foster mummy, and I follow her around all day helping her with her jobs. It took me a little while to get used to my foster dad, but he was very patient with me and now I love him too. I even get as excited as everyone else when he gets home from work ?
I enjoy my daily trit trot around the neighbourhood, discovering all the different smells and saying hello to everyone I meet, (especially little boys and girls, I LOVE kids). Going places with my family is one of the best things to do! \ The beach is great fun, and I like running around on the sand., I am a very good boy in the car on the way home and sit on my towel.
I’m a bit on the skinny side at the moment, but I'm getting good food now and gaining some weight. I didn’t have enough to eat where I lived before, so I have been having three meals a day to help build me up. When my hair grows back my foster mum says I will be even more pretty than I am now! I am not a fussy eater, and have gobbled up everything that has been offered to me. I like treats and chews as well.
I don’t bark unnecessarily, but I do like to protect my home by letting everyone know if I see something I think is strange, and no matter what my foster mum says, those pesky possums are strange!
My bed is on the bedroom floor, and I am happy to sleep there all night, and even happier on the ottoman at the bottom of my foster parents bed. I am toilet trained and use the doggie door to go outside.
I have a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep me comfortable and beautiful.
Ideally, my new home would have someone who is home a lot of the time, or have a doggie brother or sister for me to hang out. Kids would just be the icing on the cake! \ I am a quiet little bloke who is looking for a home where I will be loved forever. My foster mum says she is going to miss me like crazy, but will be happy to know that I have my very own family to look after me.
For inquiries regarding adopting me, please ring my foster mum Mary on 02 4982 5671. We are in Port Stephens, NSW (north of Newcastle).

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
