Kazimiris (On Trial 31/8/14)

My name is Kazimiris and I am a fluffy 18 month old, male, Maltese who is ready to lap up your cuddles and love. I would love to be your little shadow; l will follow you wherever you go to remind you how much I love you.

Once I warm to you which may take a few moments I will be your little angel. Every day I will be more than happy to welcome you home with a big wag of the tail and trot next to you looking up at you until you give me a chance to put my little paws on your lap.

My favourite things include running around with my foster brothers and sisters who are also little dogs and beat them to the ball when playing fetch. Playing tug-o-war and racing them around the trees is something else I enjoy. Quality time with my foster mum is very special and we sit on the lounge, resting my head on her and using my magical power in my eyes to receive cuddles; this always works a treat.

My current sleeping arrangement is inside which is where I appreciate being as I feel safe, loved and warm. Sleeping all night is something I am good at and I am very quiet. I only find myself barking when someone starts and that is only because it is rude to not reply.

I am learning new things, this includes my manners; I am learning not to snatch food, wait for dinner, not to steal other dogs dinners and not rushing through doors and gates. Sometimes I can forget but I am going pretty well with it all but don't worry I am determined. I have mastered the art of sitting and walking on the lead. I like walking next to my human and look up at them only occasionally do I get distracted and walk from side to side but everything is just so interesting when you have a keen sense of smell.

I have met lots of big dogs and little dogs on my trips to the beach and have loved all of them, I am also okay with all of the cats who I have met as I like to smell them and watch how lazy they are.

My perfect home is where I can be a companion for a single person as I bond very well to just one person. I would love to have some little dog companions but can do without as long as my human is home often. I need to sleep inside ideally on your bed as the closer to my human the better!
