Vonni

*vonni is trialling her new home*
Foster note: vonni is a real people dog, she much prefers human company to anything else in the world!! she follows me every where wants to sit on my knee lie on the couch put her 'arms' around my neck and give me big smooches. She likes to know exactly what you are doing and always offers to help. She even wants to type this for me but i haven't taught her how to spell yet so it will take too long. I think she would have to be labeled as a full time snuggler! always resting her head on you - always got a story to tell - she just adores company. Vonni comes and sits on command, listens well, makes amazing eye contact - - those eyes tell me everything!! is learning to drop and shake. Very intelligent and eager to learn. She loves her food - can be a little protective of her food from other dogs. Not fussed if i remove her treat from her or if the cats drink out of her water dish. She adores cats

We went to visit the cats who were sleeping up on their table in the sunshine. Vonni was more interested in sitting on the swing with me than saying hello to the cats but we made the effort and went over for a closer visit. I popped vonni up on the table to get up close and personal but she was puzzled as to why she was on the table and not on my knee. Anyway i introduced them gradually, at first she ignored the cats and just wanted to come back to me but eventually vonni decided she quite liked rocky's spot for a little lay down and a nap. So she made herself quite comfortable there and gave rocky the occassional sniff and a bit of a lick on the face and they all had a drink of water together. Vonni was quite disappointed when i said it was time to move on - -- i think she had settled herself there for ever - i think she thought she had moved in and was quite happy to have a sleep with the cats. Vonni gets on well with all the dogs thouogh intially timid with them. To sum it all up vonni is one gorgeous girl who craves and thrives on human company - she seemed to enjoy her quiet peaceful time with the cats - isn't interested in playing with the other dogs much when i am around. She is very affectionate and would be the most loyal dog - she just badly wants her own home and her own family - she wants to be loved and she has so much love to give - she is a darling.
