About Winston Rocket
This gorgeous boy was rescued fromthe pound after being found wandering. He weighed in at a mere 5.8kg :( Many people across Australia have been following Winstons Journey and his sweet sensitive nature. He Also made the front page of the Kalgoorlie miner. He is now a healthy 12+KG and still gaining muscle and fat. Winston has been Desexed, Microchipped and Vaccinated. And has come along way!
A note from Winstons carer: Winston will need a very special forever home, one with kindness, love and patience. I have watched him blossom in such a short time and he still has a long way to go. As you can imagine being so emaciated is not exactly a fun way to be a puppy, so now that he is feeling much better his little timid personality is coming out and he is living life to the fullest. He is going through the full puppy stage now which includes learning to sit and stay for food and not to snatch food (a lot of patience is required with a dog that has been starved) He is learning "sit" and still learning to stay. I have tought him the word "gentle" when feeding him food from my hand and he has picked that up fairly well. He is a social little butterfly just loves every dog, he also does not want to eat my bird which shows he can be trained. He thinks he is a bit of a guard dog so barking has been a slight problem, it could be to do with him showing off, he does stop when told but not ideal for a shift worker. He will learn in time. He come back when called so keeping the name Winston would be great for him as he is starting everything from scratch. He does not run away and stays with his foster dog friends and humans. He is very needy and craves affection and love. He is fine with kids but has not had a lot of exposure with them so tiny toddlers may not be ideal while he is going through his training as they tend to carry around half eaten sandwiches ;) He still has his odd toilet accidents when excited but now that he is de-sexed we should see some changes. He loves nothing more than cuddles and being cozy. An indoor/outdoor home would be perfect and a doggy companion would really suit him as he loves to play. Last of all thank you to everyone who has helped him along his way to becoming the wonderful dog he is today.
