About Rocko
Rocko rocks! This little fella is popular with everyone he meets! He is lovely and cuddly and round... a little bit too round. Rocko is a littly on the chubby side, but his foster carer has been working hard on helping him shift some of his weight, so he can live an active and healthy lifestyle. He enjoys playing games, especially tug of war with the rope, and he goes for two big walks each day! He is losing weight and doing very well.
Rocko was surrendered to our group because his family decided to get some chickens, and thought he might hurt them. He was depressed and heartbroken in the first week he was with us, but has settled in very well to his foster home and shows no evidence of a high prey drive at all!
Rocko is living in a foster home with a cat and a greyhound, and they all snuggle up together! He is an obedient, quiet little dog with a big smile. Almost everyone who meets Rocko wants to take him home, so hopefully soon he will find a wonderful forever home - he deserves it.
Medical notes
Apart from being in a weight loss diet, Rocko is healthy and happy boy. He has been desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. He had some dental disease when he came into our care, however he has had 7 rotten teeth removed and his teeth cleaned, so he now have a healthy big smile!
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please email chihuahuarescueqld@gmail.com for an Adoption Application. From there, we will be in contact with you within 48 hours to talk further about your application and if successful, to arrange a meet and greet.
Prior to adoption, all dogs will need to have a meet and greet with their family, and a house check will be done. All adoptions are subject to a two week trial to ensure your new friend fits in well with your household.
We have many dogs that are in foster care and are not yet ready to be listed for a variety of reasons. If you have a good idea of what you are looking for in your new dog please email us at chihuahuarescueqld@gmail.com and let us help you match a dog to your needs.
