About Emmy (On Trial)
Poor little Emmy’s world was recently turned upside-down when her elderly owner and constant companion was taken to a nursing home. Emmy found herself back at the rescue kennels after many years as a much-loved family pet and her little heart was completely broken. Thankfully one of our Canberra fosters, ‘Grandma Jan’ took pity on Emmy and decided to foster her, just to
get her out of the kennel. Emmy has perked up considerably since being in a home (see the picture of her roaching!) and she is now waiting patiently for the next chapter of her life. This beautiful girl is toilet trained, sleeps quietly through the night and is generally a very low-maintenance girl. She is extremely affectionate and wants for nothing more than to be cuddled and stroked. She has a wonderful affinity with children and has been following Grandma Jan’s grandchildren around trying to get pats!
Could somebody please give this lovely older girl a second chance?
* Around 7 – 8 years old
* not cat tested yet
Adoption details
Once we have found your new greyhound we will send you an application form to complete and return. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks. We have dogs that are small dog and cat friendly.
We expect greyhounds to be 'indoor dogs' and not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company most of the time.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
