About Rasta
HAVE A HEART - please consider a special needs dog.
Rasta is a sweetheart, there are very few other words needed to describe this little man. He is gentle, sensitive, quiet and affectionate. Any family would be lucky to adopt this little man - he is easy going and goes with the flow.
So far, everyone who has shown interest in Rasta has decided not to adopt him because he has a heart murmur. This is heartbreaking for the CRQ team as we know that Rasta has so much love to give and he is well worth the inconvenience of having to give him medication with his breakfast and dinner.
All Rasta wants is someone to love him. He is good with other dogs, gentle and sweet with other cats, and would be an excellent family dog as he is patient and loving to people of all ages, including children.

Medical notes
Rastus has a heart murmur, and currently on medication that will improve his quality of life. Our wonderful friends at Boehringer have donated a YEARS worth of heart medication for Rasta, we are so thankful for them!
Rasta also came to us with luxating patellas, which were causing him pain and discomfort in his hind legs. We have repaired the most severe patella, and since then he has been getting around just fine! It has made a huge difference to his quality of life.
Rastus is vaccinated, microchipped and desexed. He has been tested for heartworm and started on heartworm and flea prevention. He has been regularly wormed and fed on Royal Canin food whilst in our care.
