**spike will be going to his new home soon** are you looking for a dog who will steal your heart? spike has had a bad start to life with his previous owner, so he is looking for a forever home where he will be safe and loved. Due to his previous experiences, spike is very shy when you first meet him, however give him time and love and he will be your best friend. He is a very loyal and gentle dog that learns quickly and is eager to please. He is happiest sitting somewhere soft and comfy and getting patted. You just cant help but fall in love with him! at this stage of spike's journey, his ideal family would be a couple who are looking for a companion for them and their dog. (spike is initially affraid of children, and although he is improving in this area, a new home where there are no young children would be ideal). He also gets along best with female dogs. Spike has started to gain confidence and not be so affraid however he really needs a forever home with some-one who will show him that the world is really not such a bad place.
