About Bella
As many of you will know, “Bella” is Italian for beautiful and it’s a name that suits our lovely girl, not just because she is physically beautiful, with her sleek, black coat and soulful doe-eyes, but also because her sweet and gentle nature is truly gorgeous as well.
Adorable Bella was a very regretful surrender to GAR. Her previous owner recognized that due to her failing health and tough financial circumstances, she was no longer able to care for her dog appropriately, so she made the tough and selfless decision to hand her over to us, so that we could find her a new home.
Bella is a very easy going and mild mannered pooch. She is currently in foster care with other dogs, cats and children, without issue. Her previous owner ran a child care centre from home, so Bella thrives on having young ones around. She loves to play and get involved in chasey and hide-and-seek games, but beware, she has a penchant for soft toys and likes to steal them.
Like most Labradors, Bella is very food driven. She has some very minor issues with food aggression, so we have opted to feed her away from the other dogs, which has been an easy solution. She is house-broken and appears to have had some basic training, but could do with some more work on walking on a lead, as she has a tendency to pull a little bit.
Bella loves people (kids!), food and toys. She is a bouncy, happy and playful pup, with plenty of energy. The ideal family for Bella would be one that is home more often than not and is prepared to include her in their day-to-day activities. She thrives on human interaction and absolutely adores affection and in return, she will lavish you with big, puppy kisses and a lifetime of love!
