About Tuesday
Looking for a cuddly feline friend to spend your days loving? Then Tuesday is for you!
Tuesday is one of those kittens that you hold in your arms and walk her around a busy waiting room at the vets whilst everyone is patting her, talking to her and dogs yapping at her and she just couldn't care- because she is getting attention!
As you can see from the photos she has had a broken leg so she's been at the vets alot- see medical notes...
Tuesday is a beautiful, small and compact little kitty that has a huge loving personality. She loves to be carried around, loves sleeping on your lap, loves pats, loves kisses, loves her toys and generally LOVES attention from her foster humans.
Other Cats- Tuesday likes to do things on her own or with you rather than share her toys with other cats/kittens. She 'tolerates' other cats in her space but she doesn't seem completely at ease that they are there and she plays by herself or with you rather than with other cats. She is not nasty to the other cats but she will growl to keep them at a distance. In saying that, she was letting a 4 month old kitten into her 'personal space' after about a week and when brought into the adult cat room she was more tolerant of them as she was in their house not the other way around.
*always use slow introductions when adding a new feline family member into your home with other pets. You must be able to separate the newbie for a minimum for 3 days for the initial settling in period before introductions*
Dogs- Tuesday has not had interaction time with dogs whilst in foster care but she seemed unfazed by the large dog on the other side of the glass door barking at her when she initially came in, also seemed unfazed by the dogs at the veterinary clinic. She should be ok with slow introductions to a household cat friendly dog.
*always use slow introductions when adding a new feline family member into your home with other pets. You must be able to separate the newbie for a minimum for 3 days for the initial settling in period before introductions*
Kids- Tuesday is quite gentle in playing with the humans so we think she will love having children to play with as long as they are gentle back so she doesn't learn to be rough. She is young and an impressionable being :)
Inside or Outside- Tuesday has had a broken back leg. We do not want her being an out doors cat anymore. See medical notes for more info.
**We actually prefer all our cats to be homed as indoors only or indoors with access to a secure cat enclose outside. It is very rare that we have a cat in care that just does not get used to being contained inside. We require our foster carers to keep the animals inside, so by the time they come up for adoption they are very used to be indoors and are quite happy about it if you make indoors just as much for them as it is for you :)
There are too many dangers outside the home if they are let to roam and this is why we have their best interests at heart.
If you are planning of having an indoor/outdoor roaming cat, please let us know so we can pair you up accordingly and talk to you about obtaining Pet Insurance. Naturally, Pet Insurance is a good idea for any fur member of the family, but roaming cats tend to need it more**
Medical notes
If you have looked at all her pics you will have seen her big bandages on her back leg.
Tuesday came to us with a broken leg that had been broken for a-little while and had no veterinary attention. It is unknown how she broke her leg.
Her leg was x-rayed and the fracture required a splint for 4 weeks. She has been re-x-rayed and the fracture has healed the best it can after being left broken for awhile initially. Her ligaments will still take a few months to gain strength again and she may always have a little limp in that leg.
Our vets have said she can go up for adoption but they will also like her 'introuction period' to be a quiet one for a few more weeks. This means .... refraining from running up and down hall ways, jumping up on things and roughing around with toys no matter what baby eyes she gives you, you need to be able to restrict her the best you can... just for a few more weeks :)
