About Gypsy (On Trial 12/8/14)
Who loves Cuddles? Gypsy does – Do You? Gypsy is a beautiful 2 to 3yo Maltese. She is a sweet natured girl who loves to play all day. She plays with children of all ages and other dogs big or small. She is currently living with a foxy cross and a golden retriever.
Gypsy will come when called, eats when told to and goes to bed if told to. She loves to snuggle on the lounge or in the bed or is also happy to sleep in her bed of blankets. She loves playing and laying in the grass, running on the beach and the morning and afternoon sun.
Gypsy has a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep him comfortable and beautiful. She is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside.
Gypsy is a little timid when it comes to meeting new people and will bark a little until you say hello to her. She also likes to let you know if someone or another dog is walking past your yard. If she gets distracted she will run away from you for a minute or two but always returns. She may need a little more training in this. She has never shown any signs of aggression with children and or other animals. She also shares the yard with a cat, which she ignores and carries on her merry way.
Gypsy would be happy in a home with or without children and with or without other pets. All she wants is love and cuddles and you will get that back in return with lots of licks. So if you have room in your heart and home, Gypsy is your girl.
For more information or to meet Gypsy, please contact her foster carer Susan on 0450 847 077 or email speedhump7375@bigpond.com. Gypsy is in foster care in Swansea, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Gypsy's adoption fee is only $450 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
