About Jed (On Trial 6/9/14)
My name is Jed and I am an 1 year old, male, Mastiff possibly crossed with Pointer. I am a very friendly placid pup that will grow to be a very handsome large dog. Daily cuddles and pats are my favourite and make me very happy! Because I am still a young boy I love having lots of toys to play with, especially if they make squeaky noises. My foster mum has been doing some basic training with me and I sit and stay when asked and always eagerly wait until I'm told ‘ok’ to eat my food.
I enjoy car rides and going to the local coffee shop where I sit quietly watching everyone. Foster Mum sometimes gets me a babychino! I love trips to the doggy park and the beach and love playing with other dogs. I enjoy my morning walks. I try to be the fastest runner and run around happily but always check on where my foster mum is and always come back when I'm called. I am a bit strong on my lead at the start of my walks because I'm so excited, \ but I'm learning to slow down. I am very intelligent and would love to be given further training. I am not food orientated but respond to lots of praise and cuddles.
I am a little timid when first meeting males but once I'm introduced I am loving and affectionate and want to be your best furry friend! I haven't met a cat yet but with my calm placid nature and easy going attitude to all other dogs I'm sure I will be friends will cats too. I love meeting children at the park or beach but at first they are a little scared of me as I am a rather big playful puppy. I am really happy to see other dogs out on my walks and I am never mean or nasty.
I have my own bed outside on an enclosed deck with lots of toys to keep me company but I love being inside with my foster mum for cuddles when she comes home from work. I am very well house trained and have never had any accidents!
I would love a family where there are people at home to play with and that will let me inside so I don't get bored and lonely. Please come and meet me, I'm sure you will love me.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
