About Piper (On Trial 10/8/14)
Meet Piper - If you are looking for a medium breed, sweet natured, gentle dog this girl is for you. Piper is a mastiff x greyhound around 10 months of age. She gets along with other dogs, cats and even rats!
She is eager to please and a fast learner who has beautiful manners. Piper came into care very underweight and is still thin but putting on weight each day. Due to this her one indiscretion is stealing food but she is learning to wait for food and to eat more slowly.
Piper loves children and is easy to walk, with her recall skills off lead is perfect as she prefers to walk beside you then run off exploring.
Piper is still learning about toilet training but is improving each day, and likes to be indoors but copes fine if left outside while we are out at work. She currently sleeps outside in her kennel but loves a cuddle on the lounge in front of the tv. While she is indoors Piper is well behaved and hasn't chewed anything (not even smelly school shoes).
Piper would suit a family or an older person so long as you don't mind a shadow who likes to be close to you. To meet Piper please contact Rochelle on 0447 336 777 or rochellemadden@me.com. Piper is located in Tuggerah on the NSW Central Coast.
Pipers’ $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
