Eddie - Purebred Great Dane

Eddie is a 4 year old male Fawn-a-quin Great Dane, he has been de-sexed, microchipped and vaccinated.

He has attended puppy school and knows all the basic commands. He is an indoor, outdoor dog, he lives on a dairy farm so he is no trouble with cats, other dogs, chooks, cattle and horses. He is also used to being around small children, the family have a four year old daughter.

Eddie is being rehomed due to no fault of his own and the family will not let him go to just anywhere and are not on a deadline but it would be in his best interests to find himself a new home fairly soon.

Eddie is fully house trained, he is an outside dog most of the time however he has been trained to come in and stay on his bed inside of a night during winter, Eddie knows all of the basic commands sit, lie down and stay, he is fantastic to walk on a lead and loves nothing more than to snuggle with you.
Eddie lives with a 12 year old Male Labrador, with new dogs he does have a tendency to stand over them so wouldn't be suitable to live with a dominant male dog.

He can be a little bouncy when he gets excited, though once you tell him to sit and give him a pat he soon settles down. He has never jumped on anyone as he was taught not to lean or jump from a very young age. When he comes inside he is not allowed on any furniture and has his own bed which he must stay on to sleep, he does not get free run of the house

Would you be suitable for Eddie? You need to have the time to dedicate to him, this is something he is not getting enough of right now due to the family having a new child. You will allow him to be inside with you when you're home, you will have suitable fencing for a Dane. He can open latches so you will need to be able to secure gates etc with lock pins or padlocks.
