About Podgy (On Trial 27/8/14)~ Fox Terrier Puppy
Podgy is a 12 week old, male, pure bred, Fox Terrier puppy. Podgy's mum is a pure bred wire coat Fox Terrier with pedigree papers (Mary Robin is also available) and dad is a pure bred smooth coat Fox Terrier. Podgy will be adopted with a copy of his mum's papers.
Podgy has settled into foster care and is a very lovely boy who doesn't puppy nip, and loves to cuddle and snuggle. He loves nothing more than being with you or sitting on your lap while watching TV, so ideally he would be suitable for a stay at home mum or dad or with another friendly, playful dog. Podgy's housetraining is going well and he can use the doggie door. He is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside.
Podgy isn't fussy with food and loves all treats as well.
Fox Terriers are brave, cheerful, lovable, enthusiastic and playful, especially with children. They are very devoted and loyal and are very smart and can be taught to do tricks, so Podgy will need to be stimulated by getting exercised physically and mentally. He will do very well with positive reinforcement training. Puppy/dog school would be a great start.
Fox terriers like to go off and explore, so he'll need a well fenced yard. He is in foster care with a cat and kitten and is learning not to annoy them. He is also living with 5 other dogs of varying ages and sizes and gets on great with them all. Podgy's birthday is 19/05/2014. Podgy's mother Mary Robin is also available for adoption.

Podgy is in care at Tingira Heights, NSW \ (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle). He's not available for adoption interstate.
Podgy's adoption fee is $650 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
