About Abbie
Abbie is a sweet and charming young dog who is very easy to love. She loves to cuddle and will reward your affection by rolling on her back and displaying a big toothy grin. She has quickly learnt to put her past behind her and has grown up a lot in the last few weeks with her foster carer's assistance. Abbie is however, still learning to overcome some fears that she has with new experiences and surroundings. At home Abbie is a well-mannered indoor dog having no issues with apartment living and is house trained as long as she gets regular access to toileting - and to yummy chews! At the moment Abbie is having both morning and night trips to the dog park where her Terrier genes come out as she enjoys running around off-leash and burning up energy. Abbie is still learning to socialise with other dogs but she's a fast learner and so far is doing really well. She appears to be a medium energy level dog so regular walks are a must. Abbie would suit either a house or an apartment and will only be rehomed with another small, friendly dog for company. Abbie is currently learning basic obedience commands and is responsive to handling so will do well with continued training. In order to bring out the best in her, there should be another well-balanced dog in her new home so that she can continue to learn from a stable role model. Abbie has a soft, wiry coat that is low maintenance and non shedding so just needs a regular brush and tidy up to keep her looking and feeling great.
