About Chimes
Chimes is a beautiful young Border Collie cross who is looking for the right home.
Chimes may look like a cute, fluffy plush toy and she may be soft and cuddly like a plush toy - but she is not a toy. Rather, she is a smart, high energy working dog who will require an owner who can give her plenty of enrichment, both mental and physical. If not suitably enriched, working dogs find their own fun and the result can be unhappy for both owner and dog.
You can follow her progress on her blog here: http://koalathebear.dreamwidth.org/tag/chimes which has details of her life in foster care as well as photos of her.
Chimes travels well in a car, whether in a crate or in a harness. She is very friendly with people and dogs and while a little shy at first, warms up quickly and loves a pat and a cuddle. She is currently living with three other dogs.
Chimes has taught herself how to use a dog door, is doing very well with her house-training despite not previously being a house dog. She displays no signs of aggression and has learned to wait for her food and eats politely around other dogs.
Chimes is ball-mad and is still a bit of a crazy young border collie so we are teaching her to be calm, have an off-switch and how to relax around the house. She sleeps through the night in a crate and is almost ready to start her basic training.
She will only be rehomed to the right type of home given her breed type and temperament - a performance home would be preferred. Expressions of interest can be lodged by downloading and completing this form:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/x9bvo4dio1wkf36/07%20Adoption%20Application.doc and emailing it to the address listed on the form. The expression of interest/application to adopt in no way commits you to adopt.
Please note that only expressions of interest submitted using the form will be answered. The process for adoption is:
1. Expression of interest
2. Foster carer will contact you for a chat
3. Foster carer may arrange for a yard check and a meet and greet
4. Chimes may be adopted when she is ready for adoption.
