About Possum (On Trial 11/8/14)
Hi my name is Possum. I'm a cute little female Chihuahua x, approximately 2yrs old. I got my special name because of my bushy tail! My coat is short but very thick so I do need brushing a couple of times a week (I do love getting brushed, I will just sit or lay down happily while you brush me).
I'm sweet and affectionate and love cuddles but I'm not annoying. I'm also happy to chill out on my own. I walk very well on the lead and am learning to sit when asked.
I can be a little pushy at times towards the other 2 dogs here because I like all the attention on me. I absolutely love food of any kind and I will eat mine quickly so I can try steal my other 2 house mates food so I need to be fed separately. I don't take any interest in the cat that I'm living with. I just mind my own business when she is around.
I don't play with toys or balls, so to keep me occupied my foster mum gives me raw beef bones to chew on which keeps me busy when she isn't home. During the day I'm happy to be outside to relax. When my family come home I come inside to be with them. At night, I sleep inside in a nice big crate. I also wear a jumper to keep me extra warm. I don't mind clothes so you and your children are welcome to play dress ups with me.
I \ would make a great family pet or I would easily suit a retire person or couple too. Why not come meet me? I'd love to meet you!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
