About Tilly (On Trial 15/8/14)
Tilly is a 3 yo Jack Russell Terrier. If you are looking for a friend with tons of love to give then Tilly please consider Tilly. She has had a hard life and come through with flying colours. She loves people and has so much love to give!
Tilly would be best suited in an adult environment as she is unsure of children. She is happy and safe with children but prefers adult company. She bonds quickly and is proving to be a faithful friend. She loves to be near you, cuddle and enjoy your company. She is not interested in escaping and is content to be left alone for short periods of time. When you come home, she is waiting eagerly to greet you.
Tilly likes chasing a ball, playing with toys and ropes and even sometimes shoes. She is very playful and enjoys the company of other dogs. She does not particularly like cats, birds or guinea pigs but is a great rat and mouse catcher.
Tilly is easy to look after. She is toilet trained. She likes walks and gets excited when the lead and harness are produced. She walks happily on the lead. She enjoys a variety of food and special treats. She settles quickly at night. Tilly is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. She rarely barks, except when visitors come, when waiting for a walk and when she gets really excited.
All in all Tilly is a great little dog who needs a very special home so she can share her love with those who love her.
For more information or to meet Tilly please phone foster carer David on 0430 597 871 or email vici349@hotmail.com. Tilly is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Tilly's adoption fee is only $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
