About Darla (On Trial 11/8/14)
Darling Darla is exactly that, a little darling! She's a 6 month old Staffy x dog and is always a happy girl. Her Staffy smile is sure to win you over. She has a solid build with beautiful white and black markings. Darla is a gorgeous 6 months old, smoochy girl and would love to curl up with you while you catch up on all your favorite TV shows. Whatever you’re doing, that’s where Darla wants to be.
Being still a puppy, she can be cheeky at times but does show a nice maturity once she has finished saying hello to you. She is still learning right from wrong but always wants to please you so it won't take her long to be a well trained furry friend. We are teaching her to sit when asked and she walks really well on the lead and loves her walks.
She only has a short coat so will need a cosy kennel and a good coat at night or, even better, to sleep inside.
Darla is great with new people and loves everyone she meets. She is great with kids but can get a bit excited and can knock a little child over by accident.
Darla can be choosy about her canine friends and tends to get along better with male dogs than females. Therefore, she would be best as an only dog.
Darla is a very loyal and loving girl and bonds incredibly strongly with her ‘special person’ and is desperately looking for that forever ‘special person’ to call her own.
For more information or to meet Darla, please contact her foster carer Caroline on 02-4983-1748 or email moorefieldsfarm@bigpond.com. Darla is in foster care near Raymond Terrace, NSW (Port Stephens, north of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Darla's adoption fee is only $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
