About Red (adopted)~ female red cattle x Staffy
Meet Red, 3yo, female, Staffy x cattle dog. She reminds me of a character from Prisoner: Cell Block H. She has come from a hard life but she’s actually full of love. She came to us after a last minute rescue from death row. At first she was very unsettled and unsure about people and my wolfhound x but now she is the first to sit on my lap and has the prime position in front of the heater. Red has moved on from her past and relishes comfort and pats.
Red is a Staffy x red Australian Cattle Dog. She is slightly taller than a Staffy. She has the Staffy love of humans over other dogs but doesn’t mind a short frolic with another dog on the beach. Surprisingly she tires quickly and would rather just sit next to you and enjoy the sunshine. So she is not an overly active dog who will demand hours of walking every day.
Red sits for food, follows instructions and loves travelling in the car. It seems like she has never walked on a lead before so needs a bit of practice. She's a gorgeous, friendly dog who will be a well loved addition to your family in no time.
If you would like more info or to meet Red phone or text Sam on 6555 2555 (preferably during business hours) or email Info@SweetPeaAnimalHospital.com.au. Red is in foster care in Forster, NSW 2428 (past Bulahdelah) and is available for adoption interstate.
Red's adoption fee is only $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
