About Grug ~ 2yo kelpie girl (rehomed by owner)
Grug is a gorgeous 2 year old female Kelpie.
Grug is the friendliest dog I have ever met (I have NEVER heard her growl) but being a working breed she has a lot of energy so will need a home with an outlet for this – a big back yard, regular walks, someone who likes to jog. Grug is very happy on her beach trips where she gets to run and let all her energy go. She is so happy when she is running around with a lot of space.
Grug is good with other dogs, she spends time with a family member’s Cavoodle and they have a good time, Grug also gets along with other dogs when we go for walks however I have seen she can become scared of larger dogs at the dog beach. Grug also lives with older cat (however the cat is an indoor cat and rarely goes out) he and Grug seem to stare at each other through the window a lot but when he goes outside Grug surprisingly gives him his space. Grug can get a little excited when she sees you and may jump up but this is out of excitement and she really just wants a pat or to give you a lick.
Grug is such a beautiful dog with a great heart and a lots of energy to enjoy an active lifestyle. She deserves the most wonderful of homes where she can be loved and where she can return the love tenfold.
For more information or to meet Grug please phone Caroline on 4983 1748 or email moorefieldsfarm@bigpond.com. Grug is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW.
Grug $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
