About Puppy Zuma (On Trial 2/8/14)
Meet Zuma, he is a 10 week old Australian Cattle Dog x Staffy puppy ready for his forever home. He may look big but this boy is a gentle giant, he plays very gently with children and is great with other pets such as cats. He will even happily share the yard with chickens!
Zuma is a very fast learner and is responding very well to training. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life.
During the day Zuma is quite happy to lay around in the sun and chew a bone or play with his toys. He loves running around the yard with the kids or just sitting at your feet on the veranda and relaxing. We expect all our puppies and dogs to be allowed in the house for some cuddle time with their families to help them bond and be happy.
For the short time Zuma has been in my care I have found him to be a well behaved, quiet puppy. He would be a perfect family dog and is excellent with kids of all ages. He is still young and will need someone with the time to continue his training but he learns quickly.
For more information or to meet Zuma, please contact his foster carer Rebecca on 0438678818 or email bec85b@hotmail.com. Zuma is in foster care in Raymond Terrace, NSW (north of Newcastle).
Zuma's adoption fee is only $450 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
