Rudy

Rudy is a young six year old dachshund with an endearing personality. His primary quest in life is to give and receive affection. He loves to snuggle up close to you and looks adoringly into your eyes. Completely heart melting.

Rudy has been used all his life as a stud for a backyard breeder. He had been neglected and undernourished. When Rudy arrived he was just "skin and bones". It has taken three months for Rudy to gain weight and condition. He is now 7.8 kgs \ and looks terrific. His coat is shiny and soft as satin. He looks sturdy but not overweight. Overall he is a handsome young dog.

Rudy has not received any formal obedience training. However he stands quietly until you put his bowl down and walks by your side on lead without pulling. He would benefit from obedience training as he is smart and eager to please. Training will provide Rudy with mental stimulation as well as making him into an ideal companion.

Rudy is currently being fostered with his mother Elise. Although it would be ideal if they could rehomed together this may not be possible. Rudy would enjoy the company of a stable, gentle dog and a calm household. As Rudy has so much to learn and in the past had little human socialisation he will need a new adult family where someone is home for most of the time.
