About Jet, cocker spaniel x (On Trial 26/7/14)
Jet is a beautiful, male, 3yo, Cocker Spaniel x Shih Tzu in need of a loving forever home. He is a playful and active boy who also enjoys lots of cuddles and being inside. He would need to be kept indoors at night and would be better in a home with someone that has a lot of time to spend with him.
Jet gets on very well with other dogs. He ignores his current foster carer’s birds, not showing any aggression toward them. His foster carer believes he would be OK in a household with cats and other smaller animals as long as he is introduced correctly and boundaries are put in place.
Jet walks well on the lead. He does get a bit excited if he's not walked every day, but when walked everyday he is better. He would make a great exercise buddy!
His coat does not shed, so he would be perfect in a home with allergies. However he will need to be regularly brushed, bathed, and clipped to keep his coat beautiful. Jet came from a loving home that groomed him regularly so he is perfect to brush, bath and clip.
He is totally housetrained and has never had any accidents inside. He has an inside and outdoors bed and a couple months’ worth of flea treatment also. Jet is a darling boy who will make someone very happy.
For more information or to meet Jet, please contact his foster carer Jessica on 0422 713 461. Jet is in foster care near Maitland, NSW (northwest of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Jet's adoption fee is only $450 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
