About Bella (On Trial 24/8/14) ~ Well trained fun loving
My name is Bella and I'm a 2yr old female American Staffy cross and I love nothing more than spending time with the people around me. Sometimes I get so excited I won’t even make it all the way to your feet before offering myself up for a belly rub. I have a big, beautiful, loving personality. I just know you will fall in love with me the minute you meet me. I do have a lot of energy and love the chance to run around or go for a walk. However when I get to spend time inside with you, I love to snuggle in for cuddles. (I could do this all day). In this cold weather, I am the perfect hot water bottle or foot warmer because the minute I see a blanket I dive right under it and stay there. I don’t know why but my foster parents giggle every time they pick up the blanket. I need to be allowed inside in my forever home.
I have many skills already, like sitting, shaking hands, laying down, staying and coming to my foster parents when called and I am still learning more all the time. I will learn anything for a treat! I love playing with toys, and have an amazing high jump I use when catching balls or other toys in mid air. One of my favourites is playing with a balloon that I will hit back and forth with you for as long as you want. My foster parents think this is really, really cute. While I can jump really high, I never consider jumping even low fences, as I am so happy to be in a home where I am loved.
I also like nothing more than going for a walk with my foster parents and while I get really excited at the moment and might pull on the lead a little, I am learning to be at bit more relaxed and walk closer to my foster parents without pulling. Sometimes it’s hard though because there are so many amazing smells, sights and sounds out there. I am amazing off the lead and always come running the minute I hear my name. I love playing with other dogs and regularly go to the beach and off-leash dog parks and play with every dog there. I am very submissive with other dogs and often let the little dogs sit on my head and climb on my back. They seem to really enjoy that.
I am good with children except sometimes I like to lick their face; it’s just they are at the right height and often leave tasty crumbs for me to taste. But with training I’m sure I will give this up.
I’m still young so love learning and playing. I’m active, affectionate and love spending time with my foster parents but would love even more to find my forever home and become part of a forever family.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
