Jensen *On Trial in His New Home*

Adorable Jensen is a long legged sooky puppy whose sweet nature and loving ways will quickly melt your heart. He is the kind of pup who wants to be with you all the time and sooks at you when you come home wondering where you have been. Named after ‘Jensen Ackles’ from the tv show “Supernatural”, Jensen is a most natural and friendly pup. He gets along well with his carers kitten as well as with her 3 adult dogs (even if he does get a bit rough playing with the kitty at times). He comes when he is called and is so happy to see you that you would think that you are a supernatural creature yourself! Love is number one for this lovely little man; he loves everyone in his world although he can be a bit timid when it comes to new situations, but if he has a strong leader then he will soon find his courage.

So what breed is Jensen? His mum was a Terrier mix which included Foxy and we did hear their father may have been a passing Blue Heeler cross although it’s hard to see it in either Jensen or his brother Jared. As he’s only small we can safely say he is a male pup with Terrier looks, after that we’re not 100% sure, but he is gorgeous! Both pups have an unusual stripe of black hair down their backs and tails which you can see in their photos/video. Our guess is he’ll be no more than 10kgs when fully grown. His short coat means a brush and a bath every now and then will keep him neat and smelling sweet, though beware as he is not particularly fond of baths, but we reckon he’ll get used to them seeing as how he loves attention!

Training wise he is very smart and is progressing well with his toilet training - Jensen is being crate trained and sleeps inside in his crate at night. He comes when called and is learning to sit on command. As with any young pup consistency is key when it comes to training. Loveable Jensen has a lot of energy and will be a great dog to exercise with. He is not used to a collar or walking on lead as his vaccinations still need to come into effect. He is used to teenagers, though being a puppy he is a bit nippy still so a home with older children would be best - we think Jensen would be perfect for an active family or a couple wanting a fur baby to spoil, but if you’re not going to be home often he will definitely need a playful doggie friend for company. He does enjoy an indoor / outdoor lifestyle which we would want to see continued in his forever home.
