About Leila
Lovely Leila!
At 10 years old, Leila is ready to make up for lost time. You see, this adorable lady has a horrendous history of neglect, thankfully now behind her. Leila was brought into the shelter by our fabulous Inspectorate team. We were presented with a frightened girl whose toenails had curled right around to her pads; her ears were like cauliflowers with the amount of infection present & she was morbidly obese from lack of movement.
Then something amazing happened. Leila seemed to realise that she was safe. That people around her cared. She would greet us in the morning with a furiously wagging tail & a full body wiggle. She started to make doggie friends who she adores. She began going for short walks & loved them! She would spend time in the dog runs with her face turned to the sun, something that had been denied her for so long.
Leila is one of those dogs who is really enjoying shelter life as it is a far cry from her previous life, but now we need to find her Forever Home. Leila is such an optimistic, happy girl who is loving her new life & it still gets better from here.
Despite being an older lady, Leila is full of beans & a joy for life. She loves the company of other dogs & would happily co-habit with a canine companion.
Leila is looking for a home where she can live indoors but also get the chance to snooze in the shade outside, to go for walks & sniffari adventures, to hang out with her people & to experience the proper dog life that she was previously denied.
Secure fencing, a high-quality diet will ensure that Leila is healthy, happy & safe.
Leila is so deserving of a loving home & she is just bursting with enthusiam & hope that we can make this happen for her :)
