About Ferb (On Trial 25/8/14)
Hi my name is Ferb. I am a 1 year old, male, Maltese dog. I am a very sweet and affectionate boy. I adore children and just love it when my foster mum's grandchildren visit. Whilst I love to run and play with the children I am just as happy to snuggle up on their laps. I am very gentle, the youngest child I have met is 2, and I just seem to understand that I need to be gentle with little kids. I also love to play with my foster sister, a toy poodle. We run and wrestle, and then lay down together to recharge and then start again.
I am an inside dog, I sleep inside in a crate, and wear a dog coat overnight and when the weather is extra cold, I let my foster mum dress me and I do not complain. I am almost house trained, I know if my foster mum takes me outside I need to do a wee and then come back inside, my bed is always dry in the morning.
I have a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep me comfortable and beautiful.
I really enjoy my food and will eat up my foster sister's leftovers. I am putting on weight after being very skinny when DRN found me. I had lots of fleas and was very sad. Now I am the happiest dog ever!
I am waiting for a home where I can be inside with my family when they are home and have access to indoors via a doggie door when my family are out. I must continue to sleep inside. I would love a doggie sibling in my new home, but am also fine to be an only dog. I would love to have children in my new family too.
If you would like to meet me, please ring my foster mum. Love Ferb .

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
