Riley is a beautiful and friendly natured boy just waiting for a foster home to call his own until he is lucky enough to be adopted.
Riley is fantastic with children and is incredibly gentle for a larger boy (roughly 30kg). He is basic obedience trained as well as house/toilet trained. Riley is happy being an inside/outside dog.
He loves everyone like his known them for ages and is happy to meet new people in his own home or at the local park. Riley doesn't jump on anyone and has lovely manners.
Riley is good with other dogs including small dogs however will need a pooch who is even tempered (not dominant) as he isn't keen on the overly pushy dogs. This boy will need a home with no feline friends, although he is fine with cats who don't run, he unfortunately likes to chase.
You would never know but at a young age Riley was diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia. He is currently on 3 monthly Cartrophen injections (this is only $30)

As we rely on our foster carers (who are all volunteers and have families, jobs and pets of their own) to help with adoptions it may take a couple of days to organise for you to meet a dog once you have submitted your adoption application. We appreciate your understanding and patience with us while we work with you to ensure the perfect match for your family.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
**Please note that all paperwork including the Microchip Change of owner form will be handed over after the 10 day trial period.**
Harvey Dog Training supports SHARI and has kindly offered to provide our adopted animals 30% off training/obedience classes. If you are keen to enrol your new puppy/dog please mention this in your email to us!
