About Corona ~ Special Needs ~ Rehomed 18/11/2014
Corona is a 6-year-old, female, purebred Schipperke (a rare breed from Belgium) who will be your best friend. She loves human company and will be your fluffy little shadow. She is fully house trained and has spent time both inside and outside though must be allowed inside to sleep at night. She’s happy sunning herself in the back yard but is most happy when she knows you are close by. She has lived most of her life with a laid back Labrador and is a little timid at times so would be most suitable to be re-homed as an only dog or with an older doggy friend who’s not so “in your face”.
Corona walks really well on the lead and loves the water. She is also trained to be off the lead.
As she has a luscious caramel coat she is used to being groomed and clipped and would benefit with regular brushing.
Her favorite activity is sitting on the lounge and watching TV with you as she is very affectionate to adults. She is very loving and enjoys lots of pats and cuddles. Corona may be ok with older children but would not be recommended with younger ones due to her being a little nervous when not handled correctly. If you're looking for a forever pal Corona is for you!
If you would like to find out more or meet Corona please contact her carer Bethany on 0400 363 759 or bethanysingline@gmail.com. \ Corona is in foster care at Bateau Bay on the NSW Central Coast. Corona is not available for interstate adoption.
Corona's adoption fee is only $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Medical notes
Corona gets anxious at times so has started on anti-anxiety medication. Corona feels most secure when she sleeps on your bed - she's like a cuddly teddy bear. Corona is a little darling who just needs someone who will be patient with her and love her and she will love you back a million times over.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
