About Ruby
Ruby is a sweet tempered, loving girl who is 8 years old, Mastiff x. She loves her human company, lazing about in the sun and her food. The cold weather has seen her slow down a bit but once the day warms up she's fine.
Ruby walks well on the lead and enjoys her walks through the local bushland. Whilst she doesn't like the water she's happy to play on the shore while others swim. \
As an older dog she isn't suitable for a family with young children or someone who leads a very active lifestyle. She currently lives with three other dogs, one of whom is very playful. Ruby also has three cats who live with her and has been learning over time that they are her friends. She is closely supervised with the cats for now. Ruby isn't a suitable dog for a family with poultry or livestock but she is an excellent watch dog and protects her home well.
For more information or to meet Ruby, please contact Caroline on 02 4930 5110 or email Patersonvalleydr@gmail.com. Ruby is in foster care in Abermain, NSW (40mins from Newcastle).
Ruby's adoption fee is $200 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Woody and Ruby came into care together and ideally she and Woody could be adopted together. http://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/304882
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
