About Ace *On Trial in His New Home*
*ACE IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE*
“There is a young dog called Ace
Who has a very cute face
He needs a new home
With some toys and a bone
Don’t you think he’d be great at your place?”
Long-legged Ace is a loving and affectionate Fox Terrier x who is searching for his happily ever after. He has quickly become part of the family at his foster carers’ place, capturing their hearts and making fantastic friends with their 2 Maltese x dogs. This bouncy boy loves playtime with his Maltese step brother and sister, and has also spent time with larger dogs and gets along well with them too. When he’s not playing, Ace loves to snuggle on the couch – and the cuddles he gives are great! This gentle soul enjoys curling up on your lap or chest and simply spending time with you.
Found wandering the streets of Mildura loveable Ace came into foster care (via the pound) a very anxious boy - he didn’t like it when he couldn’t see or touch his foster carers and would bark constantly. Since then he has developed a lot of confidence and doesn’t make a peep now when they leave the house. He will definitely be looking for a home where he will have another dog to keep him company at all times and owners who are home more often than not – he’s really come out of his shell since new SARG dog Douggie joined Ace in foster care; they’re kindred souls sharing similar pound stories and they have a blast hanging out together! He would also love a home where he can sleep in the bedroom with his owners as he’s been doing in foster care; he alternates between sleeping in his own bed or sneaking up and snuggling under the covers with his carers if he can get away with it! A jacket is essential to keep him warm in the cooler months.

Ace has an excellent appetite and apart from 2 meals a day he also loves treats or a bone to chew on. His passion for eating makes his foster carers very happy as he was skin and bones when he first came into care. As his appetite has increased, so has his health, weight, confidence and personality; having Douggie by his side has definitely helped too!
Ace is still learning basic training. He knows how to sit and is becoming more disciplined when walking on a harness and lead – he is currently learning to sit before crossing the road. He is learning to play with dog toys and chase balls. His new owners will need to keep in mind that as Ace is only 1 year old he still has some puppy tendencies (sometimes he forgets what he is allowed to chew and what he should leave alone!) which he will grow out of soon enough.
One of Ace’s carers is a primary school teacher, and he has met all of her students - he is great with children and loves the attention they give him! Ace will make the perfect family dog.

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
