About Guinness (On Trial 15/8/14) ~ good with cats ~
Guinness is an incredibly smart, 14 month old, Labrador x Kelpie. He likes nothing more than a warm lap to put his head on. He does not bark or jump on the furniture, but prefers to spend his days lying in the sunshine or snoozing at your feet. He has a strong desire to please and is a fast learner. He sits on command, and will wait for permission before entering the house or following you into another room.
Guinness would love a home with another dog for company, preferably an older dog that he can snuggle with. He doesn't mind being outside during the day but has decided he likes the good life next to the heater and prefers to be an inside dog.
As for walking - you can choose the pace and the distance, and Guinness will love every second of it. He is currently learning not to jump, and due to this would not be suitable for a home with small children. He is curious about cats and enjoys sniffing them but has no desire to chase them.
Guinness will need 6ft colourbond fencing as he is a good climber and he will find any weak spots and wiggle his head through to check out the neighbours. He really does think the grass is greener on the other side - but only because he likes to eat it.
If you ever lose him in the dark just call his name. The sound of his wagging tail banging on everything around him will give him away! He'll keep you smiling, that's for sure.
Guinness would be the perfect companion for a family who wants a quiet dog with good house manners. He will fall in love with you the minute he meets you, and you can lose yourself in his beautiful chocolate eyes.
For more information or to meet Guinness, please contact Jo on 0427 695 104. Guinness is in foster care in near Gosford, NSW (Central Coast) and is available for adoption interstate.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
