About Jack (On Trial 10/7/14)
Jack is a 3yo Mini Foxy x Jack Russell Terrier. He absolutely cannot be faulted! He does not bark, does not try to escape, gets along with other dogs and is perfect to walk on the lead. He is the cuddliest, sweetest little man his foster carers have ever met.
Jack is extremely well behaved and can sit, comes when he is called and goes outside to the toilet when he is told to. Jack is good on the lead. He comes when called, but has not been tested off lead, so he would need to be introduced to that gradually.
He is excellent with children. His favourite activities are snuggling with humans and sitting in front of the heater! He also loves to play fetch and play with soft toys.
Jack is not a barker. In fact, his foster mum has not yet heard him bark!
Jack hasn’t been around cats. He has been very curious about his foster mum’s birds, but has shown no aggression towards them. He gets on great with other dogs, however would rather spend time with humans than playing with the other dogs (although he does that too!).
Ideally, his new family would have a lot of time to spend with him and he would have another dog companion if he was being left alone for long periods during the day.
Jack is an inside dog. He feels the cold so needs to be inside after dark and have a little sweater. Jack is a joy to have around. He would love to be adopted to a home where he is predominantly inside, where he can have lots of cuddles and attention. Ideally, his new home would have a lot of time to spend with him and he would have another dog companion if he was being left alone during the day (for work purposes, etc).
For more information or to meet Jack, please contact his foster carer Jessica on 0422 713 461. Jack is in foster care in Telarah, NSW (near Maitland, northwest of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Jack's adoption fee is only $400 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
