Bella (On Trial 22/7/14) ~ Cavalier x Corgi ~

Meet Bella, beautiful in name and beautiful in nature. Bella is a 2.5 year old King Charles Cavalier x Corgi and is a petite package weighing 12.5 kgs. \ She has a short coat which is smooth to touch. The colour is a deep red with a white bib. She has a very pretty face with the biggest brown eyes.

Bella is a very happy little girl who loves life and loves to socialise. She enjoys her walks in the mornings and gets excited when she sees the lead knowing she is going to be out and about meeting people and other dogs. She gets excited when she sees someone approach knowing they will stop and talk - she rolls over for a tummy tickle. She is very inquisitive and takes delight in being introduced to new sights and new experiences such as seeing the lake for the first time, walking on a jetty and watching the ducks swim in the lake. She has had very little exposure to young children, but has met a few during her walks and is very excited when they approach to say hello and she has been more than happy to let them pat her and play. She walks well on a lead although initially because she is so excited she was pulling ahead. She now wears a halter, which she has accepted, and it allows her to walk beside her foster mum.

Bella needs to be inside and to sleep inside. She loves being included in the daily life of the family. She is well behaved and will stay on her mat inside playing with her toys. She loves cuddles and lots of affection especially when she is sitting on a lap watching television. On these cooler days she enjoys being outside, on her day bed, soaking up the sun during the day. She is still learning the basic commands of sit and stay, but will always come when called.

She is content with her own company when left alone and usually amuses herself with her toys especially the ones that squeak. She has a couple of favourites and these go to bed with her. She is very well behaved and has not shown any tendency to dig in the yard or garden or destroyed anything.

She enjoys meal times and is not a fussy eater. She has not shown any aggression around food. She travels well in the car and is content to be sitting on the back seat.

Bella is a beautiful little girl who enjoys, and needs, love and companionship – she is a delight to have around.
