About Wombat
*Wombat is now on a two week trial at his new home. We will not be accepting any applications at the moment*
Wombat is a chunky monkey cuddle pot! He's a favourite amongst UNC and really is so special to us.
We were at the pound, picking up 14 dogs that were on the death row list. As we were leaving we saw Wombat sitting alone in the last cage shivering in the corner and calling out to us. We asked the shelter manager if he would be rehomed but she told us that a dog of his age will not have much luck and that no rescue groups had shown interest in him.
We worried about him that whole night and could not bare the thought of him spending another night, cold and alone in that cage so we returned the next day to save him!
Wombat is a sensitive soul with a heart of gold. He is eager to please and is house trained. He adores people and craves human affection - he can't be close enough to you!
Wombat is good with other dogs but would also be fine as an only dog so long as he is included as part of the family. Can you offer our special boy a warm and loving home for him to live out his final years?
Sorry, no cats or small children!
Medical notes
Wombat is a happy, healthy, senior dog: desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm-treated.
