About Mr Chubbs (On trial 1/8/14)
Mr Chubbs is a 7 week old male American Staffordshire Terrier x Border Collie and is and searching for a full time position as a family’s spoilt fur child.
“I am affectionate, charismatic and of solid size with a short coat I will grow to be a big medium sized boy. I love my food, did I mention food and I am high motivated, making me extremely easy to train. Although determined, I catch on quick to what you are asking as i can already sit.
I am being exposed to many textures, sights and sounds and experiences to expand my knowledge skills to make me confident and stable in new situations. I am a bit of a big sook and really love attention and companionship. I will need to have someone adopt me who is home a lot, or has other companions for me to play with and be prepared to continue crate training (help will be given).
I am confident and a happy go lucky fella because I’m so big I feel confident in my skin and sometimes my size gets in the way with my sibling (Aspen is also available for adoption http://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/303922) as he is smaller so need some re-directing, but I enjoy playing with the older dogs but respond appropriately and submissively. I need someone who will provide boundaries and rules for me to follow. I will not be suitable for young children as I can be very strong minded but playful.
I’m kinda like a big active teddy bear that is sometimes aloof and clumsy, so will make the perfect entertainer and best friend to cuddle.”

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
