About Alfie, poodle x foxy (On trial 8/7/14)
Hi I'm Alfie! I'm a 7 month old Foxy x Poodle -- a "foodle"! I'm a shy little guy but I warm up to you pretty quickly. I currently live with my sister Molly (also looking for a home), my two staffy foster sisters and a cat. To be honest the cat scares me so I leave him alone.
I'm a good boy and I use the doggy door to go outside to the toilet and I sleep in my crate with my sister all night. I love my foster mums god kids (aged 2, 6 and 8) they play with me and give me lots of pats. I enjoy them because they're very gentle cause I'm a little bit small. I play with toys sometimes but I'd much prefer playing with my sister and foster sisters, they're really fast and leave me behind a bit but I try join in anyway.
I have a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 6 to 8 weeks) to keep me comfortable and handsome. I am still a puppy and have lots to learn so would love to go to doggie school with you.
I will have to be an inside dog because I'm small and get cold and lonely if I'm left outside. I'd really like a family that has lots of time to spend with me or another dog for me to play with as I am so sad when I'm left alone.
If you want to meet me, please ring or text my foster carer Kerry on 0417 432 864. I am in foster care in Newcastle but I'd prefer to be in my forever home with you. Love, Alfie.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
