Tonka

Hi, my name is Tonka and I am a lovely 5 year old brindle boy who is looking for a new home. Due to a change in family circumstances I am no longer walked and spend up to 23 hours a day alone, which is really hard on an energetic dog like me.

I am house trained and will sit, stay, drop, stop, gentle and outside on command. I was an inside dog until a little human baby arrived and then found myself outside because I was fighting with my sister and mum and dad were understandably nervous about this happening inside the house.

I am friendly if people visit and jump up excitedly so need a little work here. \ I love travelling in the car and used to be taken on long runs of 3 -4 km but this also stopped. I am a water baby and love swimming.

It is important that I go to obedience training to brush up on my social skills with other dogs.I would fit into a single dog home with older children or someone who is home a lot who can give me the attention I need. I want to be inside with the family again and I REALLY miss all those lovely long walks.
