About Puppy Parker (On Trial 12/7/14)
Introducing Parker, 11 week old Australian Cattle Dog x Boxer x Bull Arab. He is a little treasure! He loves his toys and sleeps with his favourite teddy bear. He is a loving, loyal little man who loves to play with the other pups and with the other four adult dogs here, large and small. He hasn't met a cat but he is young enough to learn to accept them.
Parker has been in care since he was 4 weeks old and has been a joy to foster. He loves a cuddle and is happy following you in the yard and house while you go about your chores.
Parker will probably grow up to be a medium sized dog so he'll need good 6 foot fences (not rural wire fences). He is too young to spend all day alone so it would be good if in his new home there was someone who doesn't work full time. He enjoys other dogs and would love to have another friendly dog to keep him company in his forever home. Parker will be lovely with children over 5 years old (the younger ones might hurt him).
Parker loves to spend time in the yard. He'll use a kennel or trampoline bed for daytime naps. He needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home and after dark and to sleep inside. He must be included as a member of the family such as little outings and even just relaxing in front of the TV.
Parker is 99.9% house trained. He is learning to sit and will come when called. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life.
In my eyes Parker is an angel and whoever takes him into their family are going to be very glad they chose him. He has no "issues"; he's just a normal, happy, intelligent little puppy full of love and potential. He'll be a joy to have as your new family member.
For more information or to meet Parker please ring foster carer Robyn 02-4972-0804 (preferred) or 0407-074-143 (sorry, no email). Parker is in foster care in Glendale NSW (Lake Macquarie) and is available for adoption interstate.
Parker's adoption fee is only $450 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. He isn't available for interstate adoption. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
