About Dean Winchester (On Trial 10/7/14)
Dean is a 2 1/2 yo, Shih Tzu x Poodle, dark and handsome. Dean is a quiet guy who loves to cuddle and to sit on your knee or just hang out enjoying human company. He walks beautifully on the lead, sits on command and gets on well with other dogs big and small.
Dean has a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep him comfortable and beautiful.
Dean's ideal home: He must have another small, friendly dog for company. If you don't already have a dog you might want to consider Dean's foster brother Sam who is also available for adoption. Dean would be ok in a home with children as he is very tolerant and gentle with them. Of course children should be supervised around any dog. Dean is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside.
Dean was named after Dean Winchester from the Super Natural books because of his charm and good looks. He is a darling little man and would love to be your best friend.
For more information or to meet Dean, please contact his foster carer Victoria on 02-4937-5069 or 0438-640-193 or email vdavies93@gmail.com. Dean is in foster care in Port Stephens, NSW (north of Newcastle).
Dean's adoption fee is only $450 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
