Ruby-Lou (On Trial 5/7/14)

Why hello there. Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Ruby- Lou! I’m a tri-coloured Mini Foxy cross puppy, about 7 weeks old. I’m a healthy, happy and energetic little puppy and I’m on the lookout for my perfect forever home. My foster Mum and I have had a long chat about what sort of home I’d like to find and this is what we have come up with. I’ll call it my Wish-List... a tiny list for a teeny tiny puppy:

* A family that will love me and care for me forever – easy enough I reckon – I’m very loveable after all.
* A home where there’s another doggy for me to play with. Now while I am quite small and am high energy so I’d need a playmate who can keep up with me and I’d probably be best with a friend who’s a similar size so I don’t get squashed when we wrestle.
* I’d like to have some kids to play with but my Foster Mum reckons I’d be best to live with primary school aged kids and upwards because I am a bit small and I could get easily hurt if I’m accidentally dropped or trodden on (I do love to run around near people’s feet).
* I enjoy playing outside so I’d love a yard to hang out in. I doesn't have to be big (my legs are only short) but I’d love a patch of grass to run and jump around on and somewhere to stretch my legs and burn off some energy.
* I MUST be allowed to sleep inside. Foster Mum said this is a ‘non negotiable’ because I am small and I will get cold outside, even in summer. At the moment I sleep inside in my own bed. It’s nice a cosy and I feel safe and warm.
* I’ll also need someone who’s happy to spend lots of time with me. I will need some training as I am only young. I’m very good at doing my business on the grass when I’m taken outside but I’ll need some pointers to master my toilet training inside. I’m still eating 3 to 4 meals per day and I love the company of people, so if there’s someone around at home most of the time, that would be awesome.

My favorite past-times are eating, playing, sleeping, chasing balls and chewing my toys . My most favourite thing to do is sleeping like a joey kangaroo inside my foster mum’s jumper while she does her work – BLISS !

I currently live with my foster Mum and Dad, their two kids aged 5 and 7, three small dogs and a cat. I love to try and play with the other dogs, but they’re a bit old for my shenanigans. I have met the cat and I’m not particularly interested in him. He seems nice enough but he’s not keen to play either so I just leave him alone.

My new family will need to live in the Hunter or Central Coast or Port Stephens region so they can take me to the vet at Warner’s Bay to be desexed when I’m big enough. My adoption fee is $650 and this includes my first two vaccinations and my desexing (when it does get done down the track). I’ve also been treated for fleas and worms and I have a microchip.
