About Jake
Meet Jake a true gentleman a placid mature aged male German Shepherd who is currently in care at Kurri Kurri. Yes this beautiful regal boy is a pure bred German shepherd whose previous owner failed to treat an ear infection which resulted in Jake suffering a lifetime of pain. When we took him to the vet to have the problem rectified the vet spooned out thick black glue from his ears. This poor dog has suffered so much.
Hence the soft ears. Jake has now been treated with medication for the infection in both ears and will need a caring owner who will continue to clean his ears and provide him with a warm bed and a gentle walk.
Jake has not got a mean bone in his body. \ Very loving and obedient, fully house trained now and enjoying life with his fellow rescue dogs this older gentleman would be a wonderful companion dog. \ Jake is not a barker is respectful of other dogs and we would say cats too.
We are just wanting to find a home who will provide Jake with quality of life something he has never had in his eight years.

Medical notes
Jake comes desexes, vacinated C5, heartwormed tested negative, wormed, flea treated and hydrobathed. He will also come with ear drops and would require his ears to be wipped out and cleaned weekly.
Adoption details
We have an Adoption Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
