About Spiro (On Trial 6/9/14)
Spiro is a 4 year old male Tenterfield Terrier with a bob tail. He appears to have excellent breeding. He is looking forward to meeting his new family or friend. He loves the company of other dogs, daily walks on the lead, lazing in the sun on his bed, playing with his toys, a good belly rub and a long back scratch.
Spiro loves to have snuggles and will sit on your lap any chance he gets. If he’s not cuddling you, he’s following you around just in case you’ll be needing a cuddle any time soon. He will warn you if people are nearing his yard and settles quickly with reassurance.
He will sit for his treats and evening meal and enjoys raw bones to chew on. He comes when you call his name and he will stay by your side when out and about.
He would make a great addition to a family with older children (above 5 years) or a loving companion to a retired person or couple.
For more information or to meet Spiro, please contact his foster carer Rowena on 0423849408 or 40091846. Spiro is in foster care in Lambton, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Spiro's adoption fee is only $400 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
