About Schnauzer Gypsy Rose (On Trial 21/7/14)
Gypsy Rose is a 2 year old Giant Schnauzer x. We have 3 children aged 7,4 and 2 and she is great with them, they are always outside together. We don’t have any other pets but she loves other dogs and I think she would love another dog for company. She has a big bark but all she wants to do is play.
She comes inside at night and stays sitting on her mat. She loves cuddles and pats. She has learnt to sit and stay and is house trained. She currently sleeps outside and will need a good kennel located under cover in her forever home, or you could let her sleep inside - which she would love!
She can be timid and will hide under the house if she is not sure of something or someone – however she is getting better.
Gypsy Rose loves going for a walk and needs a walk every day. She hasn't had much training to teach her how to walk nicely on lead. She is very strong and pulls so she needs someone who is confident with larger dogs and will make the effort to take her to dog training classes and spend time teaching her.
Gypsy Rose is a lovely, gentle girl who will make a beautiful addition to any family. All she asks is a little time devoted to walking on lead and she will be the most perfect, loving friend you will ever have.
For more information or to meet Gypsy Rose, please contact Donna on 02-4942-2517 or email trudgetty@hotmail.com. Gypsy Rose is in foster care in Lake Macquarie (south of Newcastle).
Gypsy Rose's adoption fee is only $300 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire, in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
