About Riley
Riley is a big softy! At first he didn't get along with my entire young male staghound but it was purely a dominance thing - they are fine now.
He would be well suited to a quiet household that will allow his large size to be more indoors as his old body struggles with this cooler weather.
He wouldn't need a lot of exercise but still get the odd walk will keep him happy. He pretty much sleeps 24/7 but has the odd burst of energy where he wants to play with the other dogs.
He is good on a lead but is still very strong so when he gets excited he can pull a little. He doesn't take any notice of the cattle or chooks.
He would be fine in a household with other dogs but no dominant ones as he will try to show them up unless put back in his place.
He gets along well with my kelpie and whippet as they are both submissive and relaxed dogs. He didn't really know what to do when he got in my car but as soon as he saw the ute he knew exactly what that meant.
I would say his come from a rural family previous because he does enjoy being on the back of the ute in the dog crate more than my car.
